This Privacy Policy explains how QR vCard Garden LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use WebToolsBetter ("the Service") at webtoolsbetter.com.

🔒 Privacy by Design: WebToolsBetter processes images directly in your browser using your computer's own resources. We never receive, see, store, or transmit your photos. There is no upload step, no server-side processing, and no 24-hour retention — because there is nothing on our end to retain.

The only data we hold about you is what's required to run your account: your email address, your password (hashed), your credit balance, and a log of which tools you ran (tool name + image count + timestamp, no file contents). That's it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address (used as your login and for service communication)
• An encrypted hash of your password (we never store passwords in plain text)
• The date you created your account and the date you verified your email

Files You Process

When you use a WebToolsBetter tool, the file processing happens entirely inside your web browser, using your own computer's memory and processor. Your files are never sent to our servers.

This means:

• We never receive your files
• We never see the contents of your files
• We never store, archive, or back up your files
• We have no ability to read, analyze, or train any system on your files
• There is no server-side copy to delete, leak, or be subpoenaed

The only information about your file activity that reaches our servers is a usage record (see "Usage Information" below): the tool you used, the number of files processed, and a timestamp — never the files themselves.

Payment Information

We do not collect or store payment card data. All payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. When you make a purchase, your card information is sent directly to Stripe's servers, never ours. We receive only:

• A confirmation that payment succeeded
• The Stripe transaction ID (for our records and refund processing)
• The amount and credit pack purchased

Stripe's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Usage Information

We log basic operational data to keep the Service working:

• Which tool you used, how many files you processed, and when (used to deduct credits and show your purchase history — never the file contents themselves)
• IP address (used to detect abuse and for fraud prevention)
• Browser type and operating system (used to debug compatibility issues)

We do not maintain detailed analytics on individual user behavior.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Authenticate your account and verify your email
• Track your credit balance and purchase history
• Send transactional emails (verification, receipts, refund confirmations, account notices)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Respond to your support inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information to third parties.

3. Email Communication

We send the following emails to your registered address:

• Email verification — when you sign up
• Receipts — after a credit pack purchase
• Refund confirmations — when a refund is processed
• Service notices — important changes to terms, pricing, or service availability

We do not send marketing or promotional emails.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, all functional:

• Session cookies — keep you logged in while you use the Service
• CSRF tokens — protect against cross-site request forgery attacks

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not use tracking pixels.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate WebToolsBetter:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• DigitalOcean — server hosting for the website and accounts database
• Google reCAPTCHA — spam and bot prevention on signup forms

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We have selected providers that we believe handle data responsibly. None of these third parties receive your processed files, because the files never leave your browser.

6. Data Retention

• Files you process: never received, never stored. Files exist only in your own browser's memory.
• Account information: retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted for 30 days (allowing restoration if you change your mind), then permanently removed.
• Transaction records: retained for at least 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements.
• Server logs: retained for up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to retention requirements above)

After your account is permanently deleted, we no longer have account data to access or correct; only minimal transaction records retained for tax compliance remain.

8. Children's Privacy

WebToolsBetter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete the account.

9. International Users

WebToolsBetter is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your account information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. (Your files themselves are never transferred — they stay on your own device.)

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your account information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and access controls on our infrastructure. Because your files never reach our servers, the most sensitive surface — your file contents — is not exposed to any server-side risk at all. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered account holders or by prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
